Pros and bhopers would like this, I personally think it's useful for debugging and for improving your skill. I believe it's literally a number in the center-bottom of the HUD but I need to double check.

Spec info:

Fortress Forever - hud_speedometer 0/1

OpenAG - hud_speedometer 0/1

Bunnymod Pro - hud_speedometer 0/1

At least they're all are standardized with this CVAR.
